Stay Sharp isn't always necessary

Took a break from working on a writing project and scrolling through Instagram I saw this and it got me thinking.

Besides being a pretty good quote, the image brought me back to writing and some deep observations (at least I think it is).

When I write I like to have the point, sharp. If I write with a pencil the point has to be sharp. As I write, if it becomes dull and flat, I will need to sharpen it again. This can happen even with a pen. In fact, I prefer those Pilot Gel pens (no endorsement), and the finer the point the better. I will take a .07 because that is the most common, but if I could order .38's then it's going to be a good day.

So stay tuned for a future episode of "Meme Thinking" here. stop and take a look at myself and think about how I can rework my reality and some of the ways, I'm holding myself back. I think I'm going to make these a regular feature on the site. When something like this causes me to pause and reevaluate, then I'll put it here under "Meme Thinking" and explore myself. very little mistakes, to me it's saying that I'm not really putting in the work or accepting (let alone willing) to make mistakes to get there, I just want to get there. Perhaps it's time to work with the process and force myself to use the pencil till it has to be sharpened or grab a pen and not spend time looking for "That" pen.

Now, there will be times when I will have to looking for a .38 or find that specific pen, because no matter what I'm trying to do, I can't write with just any pen. As I'm brainstorming the pen has to glide across the page and or my mind is taken out of the moment.

That's really all I want to say about this meme. It made me stop and take a look at myself and think about how I can rework my reality and some of the ways, I'm holding myself back. I think I'm going to make these a regular feature on the site. When something like this causes me to pause and reevaluate, then I'll put it here under "Meme Thiking" and explore myself.

So stay tuned for a future episdoe of "Meme Thinking" here.
